A Week With Peachy Fox’s Collagen Retinol Moisturiser

I seem to have a love hate relationship with moisturisers.

They usually do a few things I really like and then something I hate. They could feel amazing on my skin and make me feel fresh as a daisy but break me out after 2 or 3 uses. I have to be particularly careful with moisturisers as I’ve found out in the past. It’s the one skincare product that I know could break me out in an instant so I’m always wary when trying new ones.

My skin is extremely sensitive. Not in relation to reactions and irritation to products, breakouts! I have struggled with acne for a very long time. When dealing with acne, you quickly realise that products contain a lot of ingredients that can clog your pores which means I can’t really use them as that breaks me out. There are a few brands I have to completely avoid as every single one of their products wreaks havoc on my face! I have to be very mindful of ingredients when trying new skin care or I could easily regret picking it up.

This Peachy Fox Moisturiser is made with all natural, organic products. When something is completely natural I tend to be a bit more relaxed about using it. Natural products are less likely to cause any type of flare up or irritation so, for me, they’re safe to use. They’re all round great products for sensitive skin, so, if you find you react to chemical based products… this could be for you!

The cream itself is bright white and unscented, again, fabulous for sensitive skin! It was a little thicker that I expected but, when rubbed out it melts into the skin like a dream. It doesn’t feel sticky or tacky which I love. I don’t enjoy the feeling of sticky skin when I want to feel fresh and clean after washing my face! It doesn’t take long at all to sink in, I rub it in for about 45 seconds then wait 5 minutes and I’m ready for makeup. How my skincare feels under makeup is a big deal for me. I wear pretty heavy makeup sometimes and can’t use creams that leave a sticky, thick residue as it’ll break my foundation up. Or, my foundation will slip and slip around all day. The Collagen Retinol Moisturiser just leaves my skin feeling fresh and plump, ready for makeup application.

Although this moisturiser boasts buckets of anti-ageing properties, it’s great for so many more things! It’s never too early to start taking preventative steps against ageing. I, luckily, don’t have any signs yet… although I am only 22 so I wouldn’t expect any! Because of the amazing ingredients it’s packed with, it actually makes my skin so radiant and hydrated! Some of the ingredients include: vitamin E, agran oil, rosehip oil, jojoba oil, coconut oil and marine collagen. Of course, it has a lot more ingredients than that but these are the ones that draw me in! As I said previously, I have suffered with bad acne for years and have scarring from that. These ingredients are all great at lifting scars, improving texture, evening skin tone, hydrating and giving you a natural glow. I can vouch for all of that as I really feel the texture of my skin has improved as well as the tone. I also notice the nicest, healthy glow, after I use it. It’s really nice in the morning as it makes me look a little more alive and not so washed out!

Peachy Fox are known for only using natural ingredients in all of their products. They supply clean, natural and conscious products which are free of any nasty ingredients and are cruelty free. I really enjoy using their products alone but best of all, together. Having all natural products means that you’re able to use everything together and not worry about any reactions on your skin. I’ve been using the Collagen Retinol Moisturiser along side the Aloe Retinol Serum and think they work so well together. The ingredients they use in their products are so pure and natural that I don’t ever think twice about putting them on my skin. This cream sells for £13.99 and you get 50ml of product in a bottle. It’s such a good price for the ingredients and benefits you’re getting! The packaging is super sleek and pretty. I love the pureness of the white packaging, it represents the brand really well. The little hints of pink make the products look so gentle and adds to the natural feel of them. The packaging, in my opinion, doesn’t reflect the price. I would buy something more expensive and be happy with the same bottle! It’s very travel friendly as it has a pump and a click top. It’s extremely light and as it’s only 50ml you can even have it in hand luggage on a plane! It’s just the right size to throw in your handbag for if you’ll need a boost of hydration while you’re out and about.

I do really like this product but I am aware that 50ml isn't a lot of product for some people. I use this morning and evening and know that I’ll probably have to re-purchase monthly. Although I don’t mind that as it is so affordable! If you were just using this as a day cream this would last you twice as long which would be around two months. £13.99 every 2-3 months really is a great price. I also lean towards this as it is natural, organic, free of any nasty ingredients and cruelty free. Compared to more expensive, chemical packed and possibly damaging moisturisers from other brands… this ones a winner in my books!

I’ve been using the product for around a week, maybe a little more now. I can honestly say that I love it. I’ve never used an all natural moisturiser before so this is a first for me. Sometimes I underestimate the power of natural products! I can see a difference in my skins texture, tone and brightness already so I’m excited to continue using it. Knowing that I’m putting safe, non-toxic products on my face is something I’m becoming more aware of and happy about. If you don’t research ingredients in skincare then its definitely something you may want to look in to! The Collagen Retinol Moisturiser leaves my skin feeling great and it’s definitely my new go-to for every day use.
